Travel: Cape Hillsborough National Park
Cape Hillsborough National Park is a must see if you’re in Queensland, Australia. It’s full of hikes, beaches, and a clean campground that has kangaroos bouncing around like they own the place!
We didn’t have our Boler, for obvious reasons, so we rented one of their super basic cabins for the few nights we stayed. It was sufficient, yet we weren’t big fans of all the little signs telling us ‘we need to…’ – felt unnecessary. Overall, though, worth the stop for sure! Okay, let’s check out some photos.
Cape Hillsborough National Park
First, we sat outside on our first night after a few hours drive and the kangaroos just started showing up. I look a little shocked!? Like, hello buddy.
Wild – simply wild. Okay, you can see our little hut – I’ll share a few more of our place and then we’ll jump into the scenery.
It’s a long trailer – bathroom at the back, galley kitchen, and anchored by a bed. After the photo, we moved the bed so it was positioned under the ‘trying hard to keep up’ air conditioning unit. It made the room a bit more crowded, but worth being a bit more comfortable while sleeping.
Okay, now for the good stuff – the hikes, views, and some critters.
After hiking the campground has a little store with great treats and the swimming pool is a nice place to relax and stay cool during the hot afternoons.
Here’s a quick view of the campers side – you can see some trailers and tents, yet it’s nice and clean.
Well, there you have it – Cape Hillsborough National Park! If you’re a hiker, beach lover, or just like to relax and enjoy a bit of unplugging than this place is for you!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon. Happy travels and maybe, just maybe, you’ve got one last camping weekend left before it’s too chilly at night. Well, that is if you’re in Northern Canada, like we are. Bye!
