Travel: Center Hotel

Center Hotel – Laugavegur is an awesome place to stay in Reykjavik. The staff are friendly, the rooms are spacious, and the location of the Laugavegur property can’t be beat. Not to mention it’s clean, has a modern vibe, and a pretty good breakfast selection.

When looking for a hotel in Reykjavik, you probably know you’ll be spending a pretty penny, and cleanliness most certainly matters! As does location. Reykjavik doesn’t have Uber, so you’ll have to take traditional taxis which can cost a lot, bikes, or transit. Or, you could walk – we did a lot of walking, which we love to do when we travel. Okay, all in all, the Center Hotel brand is worth checking out, but know that the Laugavegur location is awesome. Photo time!

First up, the building and the entry.

Now for the room! We had plenty of space, especially with all of our hiking equipment. The bathroom was spacious and had a large tub, and while the bed was a little too soft for my liking (most beds are!), the room had a fridge, a kettle, and a few other amenities which made us feel comfortable.
