Omaha Lunch Eats - some top eats for lunch around Omaha!

Omaha lunch eats – some of the best eats from around the Nebraska city. From food halls, to street eats, I’ll share with you a few of our favourites. Okay, let’s get eating!

First, we experienced a few different places and all were equally as good.

One place you should check out is the Inner Rail Food Hall in the Aksarben neighbourhood – Aksarben is Nebraska spelled backwards. Wild, eh? The food hall reminded me of the one in Chicago, full of such diversity, and a great sense of community. Plank is great for seafood, and sit on the patio to enjoy people-watching. Block 16 is delicious street food. So good. Okay, links are below and now onto photos!

Here’s the Inner Rail Food Hall just as it’s opening at 11am on a Sunday.

They also had amazing gluten free options – from savoury cheddar biscuits to sweet peach ones, the Gravy Train is one spot to check out – just look at those biscuits. I had the shrimp and crab benedict and it was so good I forgot to take a photo!

At plank, their seafood is flown in 4 times a week, so it’s fresh! I had the tuna with broccolini and sautéed fennel.

Lastly, this street food from Block 16 is trashy good. They’re called dirty fries. Covered with shredded pickles, funyons, and a special dirty sauce, these fries are a must.

Well, there you have it – some Omaha lunch eats. My favourite? Inner Rail Food Hall – you can try so many things! Drinks at one place, salad from another, and dumplings, too. So good.

Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy a forget your lunch Friday every now and then. See you again soon.
