Travel: Team Lab Botanical Gardens
Team Lab Botanical Gardens in Osaka is stunning! Lights transform this seemingly simple garden into a bright interactive oasis that looks like wonder. We visited last November and it was a cool night, so dress comfortably so you can take your time.
Okay, let’s check out some photos – my favourite part was the Van Gogh inspired screens.
Team Lab Botanical Gardens
When you first walk in you’ll notice the lights under the trees are playing in time with the music. Be sure you follow the signs, it’s helpful so you don’t miss anything.
Up next, the eggs! You can push them and watch them wobble, it’s kinda cool if you get a couple going at the same time.
Then, more trees, followed by the rows and rows of daisies full of vibrant colours.
Aren’t these daisies the coolest?! It’s a bit odd since the Team Lab Botanical Gardens are in the middle of the city, so you can hear street cars and apartment buildings are overlooking the gardens. The place is magical and then you look up and see the surroundings and it somehow becomes even more magical.
Okay, now for my favourite – the screens. I should have taken a video since the photos below won’t do what we saw justice. The movement, the flow over the five sides of the screen, it’s something to see, that’s for sure!
Another cool part are these wind worms – you can go right into the middle of the sea – it’s wild.
That’s us, in the sea of worms!
Aren’t these screens the best?! I stood there watching for such a long time, it was awesome.
Well, there you have it – the Team Lab Botanical Gardens. Be sure to check it out if you’re in Osaka, or any Team Lab installation!
Happy travelling – see you again soon.
