Project: Reindeer Sign

Reindeer Sign: 3ten.ca

This fun holiday sign is a decorative way to show your holiday spirit. And, you can make this reindeer sign in less than an hour.

What You Need

  • fabric paint – black and red
  • canvas
  • ruler

First – measure out your canvas. Mine was 24 inches long, so using 2 inches on the top and the bottom for the ‘border’, so I had 20 inches to work with. Knowing that I have 9 names, that gives me about 2 1/4 inches per name.

I don’t suggest writing a fine line on the canvas, since I doubt it’ll come off. Just use a piece of paper to give you some guidance for keeping the writing straight. Or, fully embrace the homemade-ness of it all.

Space it out and start creating your own font.

Keep going with your steady hand.

For the ‘O’ in Rudolph, use the red. I originally didn’t want to fill it in, but I messed up on the O – so it’s filled in. You pick, either way it’ll look great.
