Recipe: Apple Butter
Apple butter time! Last week I made easy apple sauce, well this week it’s apple butter time. The tree in my front yard is huge so I needed another apple recipe. Let’s get cooking! Oh, and a bonus – this recipe is only 4 ingredients.
Ingredients
- 24 apples
- 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
- 1/2 a teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
Get out the crock-pot. Wash and cut your apples. No need to peal them, just cut them in quarters and get rid of the core.
Place the apples in the crock-pot and cook on low for 6 hours.
Take the broken down apples and blend them. Then, clean your crock-pot and return the blended apples and mix in the cinnamon, salt and lemon juice. Cook for another hour on high.
Done. Give it a stir and you’re done.
Eat on muffins, toast, or even on top of cheesecake.
Thanks so much for visiting and I hope you find this recipe delicious. It’s tasty and healthy. Happy fall.
