Bacon avocado fries? Yes, and yes. With only 2 ingredients this recipe is packed full of flavour. Such a great snack on its own or with wings, chicken burgers, or a spring salad. Oh, and if you love bacon and avocado together, you’ll love the BAC: bacon and avocado grilled cheese. So good.
- 1-2 large avocados
- 6-8 strips of bacon (I used turkey bacon)
First – gather your ingredients.
Next, cut the avocado in half and take out the pit. Then, carefully remove the avocado without breaking it. Cut into 4 lengthwise. Now, if the avocado is large, cut the two middle piece in half.
Time for the bacon. Cut your strips of bacon in half. Lay on a rack (not in a pan, the bacon will get soggy) and cook for 5 minutes at 400 degrees on bake.
Wrap each piece of avocado in bacon. Place with the fold side down back on the rack. You want to use a rack so the bacon doesn’t get soggy – you want it evenly cooked on both sides.
Bake at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
Eat them hot or cold – they are so good either way.
