Recipe: Buffalo Pulled Chicken
Buffalo pulled chicken – so good and it feels like I’m eating chicken wings – whoo hoo! On Family Day, last Monday, we had a potluck at work and this is what I made. The mini dinner rolls were the perfect size so people didn’t fill up on just one thing. That’s the best part about potlucks, having a lot of small bites. It’s perfect.
Okay – let’s get started on this easy crockpot buffalo pulled chicken recipe.
Ingredients
- 1.2-1.5 Kg of chicken breast
- 2 medium white onions
- packet of dry ranch dressing mix
- 2 sticks of butter
- 1 bottle of Frank’s wing sauce
First up, gather all of your ingredients and get out that crockpot.
Slice the onions and put them in the bottom of the crockpot. Cut the butter into chunks and put in the crockpot next. Then, pour in the ranch dressing packet.
Next, cut the each chicken breast into 4-5 pieces and place in the crockpot.
Time for the star of the dish – the Frank’s wing sauce. Dump the whole bottle into the crockpot being sure to cover the chicken. Don’t stir it, not yet. Put the crockpot on high for 3.5 hours.
After 3.5 hours, pull all the chicken. Then, cook on high for another 30 minutes. Then, slice the buns and put the crockpot on warm. Serve up and eat up.
Looks good, eh?
Eat with blue cheese dressing, or even a little celery slaw. Or, just eat plain.
This is great for a cold Sunday after snowshoeing or cross-country skiing. Put this on and get out there!
See you again soon.
