Recipe: Candy Corn and White Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars
Halloween is almost here and with this season comes candy corn! I’ve never been a big fan of candy corn, however, in this recipe I wanted to try them because of their colour. Let me tell you, these candy corn and white chocolate chip cookie bars are great! Last weekend I spent my Saturday baking about 8 different recipes and out of the 8, which I will share over the next week or so, this is my favourite.
Bake up and eat up.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 cake flour
- 1 teaspoon backing soda
- 2 teaspoons corn starch
- 1/2 cup brown sugar and white
- 1 cup butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 cup candy corn and white chocolate chips
This cookie recipe is very close to the square M&M and Oreo cookie bars I made at the start of this year. Those, too, are super good.
First – gather all of your ingredients.
Next, cream the sugars, butter, eggs, and the vanilla together. While that’s mixing, add all the dry ingredients together and mix well. Add in the dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly. Now gently add in 2/3 of the white chocolate chips and 2/3 of the candy corn. Press into a buttered 9×13 pan. Lastly, before you start baking it, press in the remaining white chocolate chips and candy corn.
Bake at 350 for 23-25 minutes. Let them cool, cut then eat.
Happy Fall – enjoy the recipes to come.
Halloween…only 10 days away!
