Recipe: Cranberry Bars
Have you ever had Starbucks’ Cranberry Bliss Bars? They show up under the clean glass display case sometime after the American Thanksgiving and make my holiday season blissful. I used to work at Starbucks in California when I was younger and I fell in love with the heavenly treat (that and coffee!). Below is my quick interpretation of cranberry bliss.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
- Can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 1 cup flaked white chocolate, coconut and dried cranberries
Start by melting the butter over low heat. Once it’s all melted, add in all the graham cracker crumbs and stir well. Smooch the crust mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 pan and let cool for a bit.
Next – pour the Eagle Brand can over the crust. Chop up and flake the white chocolate – layer it on after the milk. Then, layer on the flakes of coconut and finish with the dried cranberries – I used craisins.
Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes – keep an eye on them, since the condensed milk can start to bubble, caramelize and then start oozing out over top of the dessert – that simply makes it look ugly.
Cool and enjoy!
