Sewing: Dr. Seuss Bath
Who doesn’t love Dr. Seuss?! He’s an all-time favourite of ours, even making his way into our wedding vows! About 3 weeks ago I was in the states and found my way into a JoAnne’s Fabrics. What a delight! Not as fabulous as the fashion district in Los Angeles, yet I found some wonderful things! This fabric caught my eye and I just had to get it. We have a few Dr. Seuss pictures up in our upstairs bathroom, so I thought I’d make some towels and cloths to match.

Be sure to wash the fabric first, of course! Do you know why you need to wash your fabric first? You do so to prevent or to get the shrinkage out of the way. This is especially important when sewing two different fabrics together. If they shrink at different degrees then your item might be ruined.
Cut evenly and make sure your backing – I used terry cloth – is the same size.
As you know, right sides together, and serge – leave a little hole to turn right sides out.
Fold in the opening once it’s right sides out and top stitch all around. Done!
Set them all up and you’re good to go!
