Travel: Mexico City Sights
Mexico City sights, from historical roundabout statues, to park monuments Mexico City, or CDMX, is filled with history, beautiful buildings and some of the most interesting sights. Here I’ll share some photos from our walks out and about around Mexico City. My favourite? This one, the Angel of Independence – it’s tall, stunning, and when the gold catches the sun, it’s powerful! Okay, here are a few more sights! Mexico City Sights The buildings in Mexico City are not only memorable, they’re recognizable across the…

Travel: Bob’s Bridge
Bob’s bridge joins Nebraska and Iowa and spans across the Missouri River for a total of 0.9 kilometres. Visit at night when it’s cool and the lights reflect off the water. Okay, photo time! Bob’s Bridge Check out this welcome sign – there are a few on the bridge – and you better bet I got stickers! The bridge is beautiful at night, and it’s not as busy, either. The Nebraska side has a lot of seating, where as the Iowa side has a lot…

Travel: Paris Sights
Paris Sights – I’m not talking about the big items, like the Eiffel Tower, or the Mona Lisa, but the more integrated pieces that are found throughout the city. The sights you’ll find walking around enjoying the city of love. Paris Sights These next few sights are places we walked by about 12 times total, all within a few blocks of our hotel. Le Marais is such a great neighbourhood. Okay, these just look like so much fun – I wanted try and jump from…

Travel: Montparnasse Tower
Montparnasse Tower – the best views in Paris. Well, to see the city, anyway. We got the 48 hour pass, where you could visit twice – once during the day and then again at night. Well worth it. The views are so different at night versus during the day. Be sure to check it out for some awesome city views. Montparnasse Tower No need to buy your ticket ahead of time – there is no cost savings (or wasn’t at the time we went) and…

Travel: London Sights
London sights – this city has so much to offer, from museums and monuments, to even iconic items like red double decker busses. If you’ve been following along, you know I’ve shared quite a bit from our time in London this September. Here are just a few photos of sights that didn’t get their own post – and a list of all the London sights worth visiting. London Sights The Globe Theatre – we didn’t make it in for the tour, but checked it out…

Travel: Buckingham Palace
Buckingham Palace – my oh my, it is the best sight to see in London. Even if you’re not hugely into the Royal Family, the architecture, the history, and the stories you’ll hear on the self guided tour are worth it. Bryce and I watch The Crown, and Victoria on PBS – so visiting Buckingham Palace State Rooms is just too cool. When the building was built there obviously wasn’t electricity – yet you can see the conduit added after. It’s cleverly covered in the…

Travel: Sea Life Aquarium
Sea Life Aquarium is one of London’s best sights. Seriously. We love our aquariums – we’ve been to the Vancouver Aquarium, the one in Seattle, and the Shedd Aquarium, too. This one brought a whole new dynamic with it – mainly because it tied in a lot of London history (like the pollution in the Thames River). The entrance is small and down on the river walk area by the London Eye. If you’re like me and have things planned out, then buy your tickets…
