Travel: Abeno Harukas
The Abeno Harukas is building in Osaka with a sky corridor where you can see the city from 60 floors above the ground level. The corridor is full of extremely high glass windows, giving you a 360 degree view of the city and beyond. Okay, let’s check out some photos.
Abeno Harakas
The observatory is open from 9am until 10pm and it’s 300 metres up. You can buy your tickets online, or at the gate. It wasn’t busy when went, so we bought them when we arrived. The Abeno Harakas Observatory site will give you all the info you need.
A few tips, don’t bring a big backpack or anything, since it’ll be too cumbersome. They do have a few lockers to lock up valuables. Plan for an hour visit, we spent about 45 minutes here, but didn’t have to navigate around people at all. Also, it’s not a far walk from the metro, so don’t be afraid to take the train!
Lastly, if you buy the one day ticket, you can come and go multiple times, which is perfect for morning and night views. Note that a same day ticket doesn’t allow reentry. Okay, photos!
So many lights and so many buildings, eh?! It’s wild how many people live in Japan. Osaka has more than 12,000 people per square kilometre. That’s about 50 people per acre – we have just under 3.5 acres, so that’s like 175 people living on our property. That’s wild! Dense, for sure.
Well, there you have it, a few photos from Abeno Harukas – check it out if you’re even in Osaka. And, if you get the chance, be sure to check it out during both the day time and at night, it’s worth seeing the difference!
Happy travelling – stay safe and enjoy the journey. See you soon.
