Travel: Camping in Glacier National Park
It’s camping time! Last year we visited Glacier National Park in May and we had a marvellous time. So this year, we decided to go again – time to go camping in Glacier National Park. The only difference is we went in late June hoping that Going-to-the-Sun Road would be open. Luckily, it was open on our last day – that post is up next.

The new park sign!
Our little 13 foot Boler is all set up and ready for her vacation.
The best part about camping is the cooking on open fire. We spend hours each day cooking and enjoying the fire. Here we’re making pancakes in a cast iron skillet (it’s basically all we cook with when camping). These pancakes fried up so crispy that they almost tasted like cookies. So good!
Miss Lily enjoying laying around, being outside and having us close by. She’s such a great traveller.
This is our site and as I turn around, that’s our view!
Okay, this is a treat. Mac & Cheese on an open fire? Yes, please! We managed to boil water and cook up some creamy campfire mac & cheese.
Camping is hard work, eh Lily?
Such a great family photo – we had a blast!
Overall, camping is some of the best downtime you can get. Nature, beauty and flat out awe. I hope you and your family have some quality time this summer, too. Happy camping!
