Doha Dinner Eats

Doha dinner eats – we had Lebanese, Thai, and Indian food while we were in Doha. Flavourful food packed with excellent service and atmosphere, Doha didn’t disappoint on the dinner front. Okay, let’s check out some of the places we ate at.

First up, Al Nafourah Garden. This place is worth checking out for the vibe alone. The garden feel is real, and the couches are comfortable and the water sounds delightful. We had some awesome food. I’ll admit, I felt like fries, so we got a side of those and hardly touched them. Sometimes, however, it’s about comfort and on this dinner trip I wasn’t totally sure what I wanted to eat.

We ordered a few different things to share and the falafel was a hit, as was the grilled halloumi. A highlight is the gluten free menu – all items are labeled with gluten, lactose, nuts, or if it’s vegetarian.

Up next, Rivaaj. This place was packed – and not only that, it was busy with a brunch tour menu; meaning that you toured around to different stations to get bite-sized dishes. We didn’t participate, yet it was still very loud and a lot of movement from all the guests. We ordered a paneer and a biryani. Both were flavourful and tasty.

The last place we visited for dinner was Sabai Thai – it’s an award winning restaurant with an open kitchen. We had traditional dishes, Bryce having the Pad Thai and I had Thai Basil Stir-fry.

Well, there you have it – the three places we ate dinner in Doha, Qatar. We generally eat around 7:30-8:00pm when travelling for a few reasons. One, it gives us some downtime after a full day and before dinner.

Two, it’s rare (maybe every 1 out of 4 nights) we have an event or activity in the evening while travelling. Although, the Team Lab Botanical Gardens was amazing!

And lastly, three, eating late helps keep us awake! There are travel days where we’ve walked 25,000 – 40,000 steps and if we get back to the hotel at 6pm with a couple of hours before dinner, if we didn’t have a reservation I might fall asleep and not leave!

Thanks for visiting – happy travelling and eating.
