Travel: Guinness Storehouse
The Guinness Storehouse – it’s a must if you’re travelling in Dublin. Number one tip – buy your tickets in advance. We were in line and watched at least 15-20 people become visibly disappointed when they found out that the day was sold out. It might seem a little inconvenient, since you’re not sure about the flow of your day; however, you’ll be guaranteed entry, and that’s worth a lot!
Okay, let’s check out this cultural beer – Guinness.
Guinness Storehouse
- Buy tickets in advance
- You get a free beer with your ticket
- The tour is self-paced, so take your time
We spent about 90 minutes at the storehouse, yet some people visit, eat at the restaurants, and mingle with other Guinness enthusiasts on the top floor. For us, not really our thing. We didn’t rush either, though. We took our time, read a lot of the displays, and enjoyed all the variety of advertisements.
First up, there are signs all around the neighbourhoods pointing you towards the entrance – you can’t really miss it.
Second, don’t rush – slow down and look around, if you don’t, you’ll miss intriguing details that are simply fascinating.
Also, ensure you wear comfortable shoes – it’s a big facility!
Also, don’t be afraid to check out all the little knick-knacks when you get to the advertisement area. There are so many neat, clever, and witty pieces of marketing. Bryce and I kept calling each other over to things; it was a lot of fun.
Lastly, don’t forget to head to the top for your pint!
We got pop – they do have choices, haha.
Also, be sure to walk all around; you can see different notes on the history of Dublin.
Well, there you have it, our trip to the Guinness Storehouse – a must if you’re in Dublin!
Happy travelling – stay safe and enjoy the world!
