Travel: Noosa National Park
Noosa National Park – it’s right in the heart of Noosa, Queensland, Australia. We did the long hike from the start of Tea Tree Bay via Fairy Pools. After that, we picked up the Hell’s Gate Walk, finishing at the Noosa Heads Beach. It was a hot day, even with some cloud cover, yet the views were magical. Photo time.

First, a couple of trails we hiked in the park.
- Trail One: Tea Tree Bay via Fairy Pools
- Trail Two: Hell’s Gate Walk
The first trail wasn’t too busy at all – and the beach on the south side just happens to be a nudist beach. There’s a lot of room to walk, and the tides isn’t much of an issue. Where things get busy, yet totally manageable, is when you hit the Hell’s Gate trail. Don’t get me wrong, though – it’s still worth it. We hiked on a Saturday, so a busy trail is understandable.
The end of the walk, on the path to Noosa Heads Beach is nice and easy, it’s paved and in the shade, which is awesome! Be sure you pack water and snacks! The heat will take it out of you, that’s for sure.
If you happen to be in Australia in Queensland, be sure to check out Noosa and visit the Noosa National Park. It’s not a far drive from Brisbane, and it’s kind of like visiting Banff from Edmonton, worth it! Well, it’s actually a little shorter – 2 hours. Edmonton to Banff is about 4, so that’s even more of a reason to visit Noosa if you’re in Brisbane. Rent a car and check out the coast.
Well, there you go – Noosa National Park and a couple of trails that kept us busy. Thanks for stopping by and happy hiking! See you again soon.
