Recipe: Pumpkin Pie
Pumpkin Pie – a Thanksgiving staple…it reminds me of fall and home. This is my first time trying out my pumpkin pie recipe. It’s a little on the spicy side, not overly sweet, yet the perfect way to end a fall feast. Ingredients 7 cups of pumpkin puree 2 eggs 1 cup of dark brown sugar 1.5 cup of milk 1 tablespoon of cinnamon (I like a lot of cinnamon!) 1-1.5 teaspoon of nutmeg pie dough – try my 1-2-3 pie dough This recipe makes…

Fashion & Fabric District – Downtown LA
Buying fabric in Canada can be limiting at times. Very few stores and very few different products. When Bryce and I decided we’d take a small vacation in October I wanted to visit either New York City or Los Angeles (yes, both have fashion/fabric districts). Together we decided on LA – neither one of us had ever been there before, the flights from Edmonton were 3 hours (not like the red-eyes we’d be taking to New York City), and well, the weather was beautiful. Below…

CalTech…I’m a nerd!
CalTech Some people like to visit stadiums in cities they visit, museums or even local landmarks. Me, I live to visit university campuses – I’m a nerd, I know. I was 12 when my dad took me and my brother to Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. He had a coaches football conference and I got to wander the university (taking pictures on a very old camera)…I felt inspired, like I was a part of a secret or inner world. When it came time to…

Los Angeles Shopping…The Grove & Rodeo Drive
The Grove Where to shop in Los Angeles?…The Grove! My mom visited LA a few years ago and raved about The Grove, plus, I think TMZ films there from time to time. Lots of places to shop and lots of places to eat. Gossip is a pretty big thing in LA, as well as in a 15 year olds life, but I’m not 15, so LA it is! The television show Extra brings a lot of celebrity gossip, entertainment news and celebrity photos right into…
