It’s Woof Wednesday 5.0! We’re celebrating Daphne’s 2 year gotcha day last weekend, full of fluffy memories and fun adventures. Daphne the Afghan Hound is one sweet pup – check out her before and after photos below.

Two Year Gotcha Day!

We lucked out with the warmish day on Saturday, December 11 – so I could keep up my blue theme with a t-shirt and hoodie. I joked with Bryce that one year it’s going to be minus 20 or so and I’ll need to wear a coat, then I’ll get to wear one moving forward – nope, apparently that’s not happening! Too funny.

Below you’ll see just how much bigger Daphne is, and how we’re all 2 years older than the originals from her gotcha weekend.

Here are the originals from 2019 – she was about 4 months old when we got her – so little!

The past year has been full of some wonderful adventures! From hiking Sniffleur Falls to visiting the Botanical Gardens, Daphne loves to explore.

Last year we celebrated her one year anniversary, too – it’s a fun time of year for celebrations, since Christmas is right around the corner and all feels festive and full of love.

Well, Daphne clearly loves to put her head on my shoulder – she did this last year, too. I’ll admit, it’s difficult to hold her in that position as she’s just under 50 pounds now, whereas when we got her she was about 26 pounds or so. Had I known I’d be picking her up this way year after year I might have done so differently back in Carlisle, Pennsylvania when I picked her up.

Overall, she’s a joy and we love you, Daph-Daph! Thanks for being out sweet pup and keep on being you, Daffer – now, off to play in the snow.
