Recipe: Banana Cake
Banana cake! My banana bread and banana nut muffins are good…yet this cake, it’s moist and delicious. I couldn’t stop eating it. Next time, I’m going to turn it into muffins!
Try it this weekend.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup of salted butter
- 1 cup of sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups of flour
- 1/2 cup of cake flour
- 2 teaspoons of baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 3 ripe banana
- 1 cup sour cream (don’t use light or fat free)
First – gather your ingredients and cream the sugar and butter together.
Next – mix all the dry ingredients together. Then add them slowly. Once they are incorporated, add the sour cream and the bananas (alternating a bit at a time). Mix well.
Pour the cake into a well buttered dish. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes (I did mine at 35 so the centre was still a bit gooey…it was great).
Once it’s out of the oven, let it cool and then ice it up!
Time to eat up!
It’s good on the second day and even on the third day…if it makes it that far!
