Recipe: Canadian Thanksgiving 2025
Canadian Thanksgiving 2025 – yes! It’s my favourite holiday of the year, time for potatoes, fall colours, and quality time with family. What else could you want? How about an extra day to sleep in!? I know someone who could use it. Haha. Okay, let’s check out what’s for dinner this Thanksgiving.
Canadian Thanksgiving 2025
For this holiday we got a duck and put it on the BBQ, rotisserie style! Since it’s the two of us, we usually opt for a vegetable or a salad, not both – that’s way too much food and a lot of prep. This year we went with a fresh and crunch apple salad, perfect for fall.
Okay – check out the recipes above and the photos below, let’s dig in!
While we usually eat turkey for Thanksgiving we thought we’d give duck a try this year. The one downside, not nearly enough leftovers! One of the highlights for me in making a full holiday meal is that we have left overs for a few days in the fridge. We often have turkey tacos, hot turkey sandwiches, and I’ve even been known to make a stir fry or two with turkey. The duck? Not so much. I will say, though, our main meal was delicious.
Well, there you have it, our Canadian Thanksgiving 2025. From mashed potatoes to a hearty fall salad, your tastebuds will have a grand old time with this meal. We passed on dessert this time around, yet if you’re in the mood for a favourite, then check out these banana bread cookies. Crumbled on top of some vanilla ice cream? Yes! Plus, they’re the perfect make ahead dessert.
Happy holidays and enjoy the day! Thanks for visiting and we’ll see you again next time.
