Recipe: Canadian Thanksgiving 2026
Canadian Thanksgiving 2026 – what’s on your dinner plate?! For us, it’s homemade rotisserie chicken, classic mashed potatoes, and a bright and hearty salad. That’s right, this Thanksgiving we’re forgoing the turkey for this small little bird – the perfect size for the two of us and some leftovers for the week. Okay, let’s dive in and check out these recipes.
Canadian Thanksgiving 2026
Okay – for the rotisserie chicken, this guy took about 2 hours on our bbq – no burners on, all the built in infrared rear rotisserie – it’s so worth it. Put it on and enjoy the game, or do something fun – no need to start the potatoes or the salad for at least an hour! Once you’ve got the chicken on the go for about 75 minutes, then jump to starting the potatoes.
When the potatoes are on, then start the salad. I usually dress the salad last, but I prep everything so it’s easy to assemble at the last minute, right before we eat.
So, how does everything look?!
Once it’s all ready, grab a plate and dish out!
If you’re like me, you’ll grab one plate. If you’re like Bryce, then the salad will hit a different bowl. He eats his salad last – very European. And me, I eat my salad first, which is a very Western way. Which way do you lean?!
Time to load up my Canadian Thanksgiving 2026 plate!
Well, there you have it, our Thanksgiving dinner.
What did you have?! Is there anything that always makes it to the table, each and every time?
For us, it’s usually mashed potatoes, yet I’ve been known to change up the potatoes from time to time.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your long weekend – see you again soon.
