Recipe: Fruit Pops

Fresh Fruit Pops: 3ten.ca

Fruit pops! Yes – it’s sunny out and the snow is finally gone. Time to get ready for summer.

These fruit pops are made with fresh real fruit. Not only are they good for you, they taste great, too.

Ingredients

  • 6 kiwis
  • 1 cup of pineapple
  • 6 strawberries

Okay – why this combination of fruits? Well…we had a bag of kiwis in the fridge that we needed to use up, along with some fresh strawberries (I only used the tops) and some pineapple (I used the core). These fruit pops will have some sweetness and be jam packed with vitamin c. Eat up!

First, gather all of your ingredients. Cut them small enough to fit into your juicer.

Okay, back to the fruit pops.

Once you’ve got the juice mixture completely ready, pour into your forms. Fill them right to the top, that way it’s anchored into the bottom and doesn’t tip over when you’re holding it or eating it.

Put on the tops and freeze for at least 5 hours.

That’s it! Done.

You can make these even if you don’t have a form – all you need is a cup (like a dixi cup or even a small foam cup) and a popsicle stick. They will work just as well – and, on the bonus side, you can take them on a picnic or to a BBQ and you won’t need to worry about getting back your forms. So smart.

Happy Saturday – enjoy the weekend. Oh, and don’t forget that tomorrow is Mother’s Day – be sure to wish you mom a happy, happy day. You could bake up our baked french toast, or even some churro waffles. Either way, spoil her!
