Ingredients
- 10 apples (a variety)
- 1 orange
- half a lemon
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 1 stick of salted butter
- 2 tablespoons of cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon of all spice and nutmeg
First – you need to peel and core all of your apples – then cut into quarters.
Next – zest the orange and the 1/2 lemon. Then, juice them both. Put the apples in a dutch oven or a very large casserole dish.
Cover the apples with the zest and the fresh juices – then top with all the spices and sugar. Then, cut the butter into chunks and mix in. Stir everything so it’s evenly coated.

Once it’s out of the oven, mash lightly and serve.
