What You Need

1 yard of fabric
Serger
Matching thread
Scissors
Iron
Ironing board

This fabric is so fun to work with. Be sure your serger is set correctly. Cut, roll the edges, and press. I love this retro print for these picnic napkins – makes me think of drinking glass bottled coke and tinfoil face tanners.

One yard of fabric will make 4 napkins. You could make a nice set of 8, or make 4 red and 4 grey or black – that would really pop. Don’t use clashing colours, though; or too many colours. Oh, and I think blue and green will look awesome together.

Okay, let’s sew up.

And you’re done! Quick and easy, eh? They make the perfect little gift, too – especially if you’re invited to a neighbourhood BBQ. A thoughtful hostess gift, for sure.

Okay, it’s time to get out there an picnic! Happy Summer.
