    Photos: Thankful

It’s Thanksgiving weekend and the leaves are blowing around the front yard and I’m thankful for so many things: my lovely little family, the strong connections I share with the amazing people in my life, a wonderful job and blogging. I’m so grateful to have a space where I can share my love for life. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t always love life – sometimes it is unfair, illogical, and dark; yet blogging, for me, moves me past that into the light. And, the…

    Travel: Paddleboarding

Paddleboarding on Christina Creek! This summer we spent a little over a week in Christina Lake with family – that’s where we were headed when we stopped at Margo’s Farm. The weather was hot and one way to cool off was to take the paddleboards for a spin on the creek. These photos are taken with my iPhone since I don’t have a waterproof bag for my camera, so don’t mind the picture quality. Here we go! Paddleboarding The place we stayed at backed up…

Portland Eats The White Owl Social Club opens at 3pm and we visited on a Friday afternoon – great way to end the week. Large tables…

    Travel: Portland Market

The Portland Market, well the Saturday Market. It’s open on Saturdays from March until the end of December. We left Portland, Oregon on Saturday morning and this was our last stop before heading home. Portland Market Perhaps I’ve been spoiled in the market area, yet this market wasn’t too exciting. We expected a lot of local grown fruit, vegetables and local eats. There were only a few food vendors and I couldn’t find a single tent selling local grown food. Odd. The arts and crafts,…
