Travel: Victoria Eats

Victoria eats 2019 – some of our favourite places to eat in Victoria. We had some places we didn’t enjoy so much (Cafe Mexico, Be Love) yet they’d still get a 6/10. Just not worth it in my opinion.

All of these places below – at least an 8 or 9, if not 10 out of 10.

First up, La Taqueria Pinche Taco Shop. They’re open late and offer some upscale tacos that bring some big flavours. This is the same chain from our Vancouver Eats post in 2017 – yet the VanCity location is better!

Foo Asian Street Food is worth the stop. I had the chicken red coconut curry and Bryce had the pad thai. Both were rich, full of flavour, and delicious.

The atmosphere in this place is fun, too – just like street food should be – fun!

Now, for our favourite place – the place we’d travel back to Victoria just to eat at – La Taquisa. Not only does this place have excellent tacos, their burritos are so good, too.

This place makes family recipes from the heart and you can certainly taste the difference from those chains around town trying to make authentic Mexican food. If you’re in Victoria, check this place out.

Well, there you have it – some of the best eats on our recent trip to Victoria. If you only have time for one, then make it La Taquisa and get the 5 taco deal – and don’t be afraid to make them all different – they’re all good!
