Taste of Edmonton 2016 – some great food and a few repeats from last year – Taste of Edmonton 2015.

Above, that’s me dressed as a Taste of Edmonton chef – so ridiculous. The event is on until July 30 – you should check it out before it’s over. Tickets are $1.58 per, and you can buy them in groups of 5 – 10 – 20 – 40. This year we got 40 tickets which is what we got last year. In all honesty, 40 tickets was too many. Next time we’ll get 30.

One of our favourite stops – the Hong Kong Bakery. Serving up the fluffiest Green Onion Cakes in Edmonton. So good, yet not gluten free.

Need a map? They have them around the grounds, but get a paper copy when you buy your tickets. The trick to the event is to walk around once, read the map and then decide what you want to eat. With that method you won’t miss anything you’re really craving.

This chocolate covered banana is organic which means the chocolate isn’t very sweet – be warned – we saw other people eating it with perplexed looks on their faces. haha. The butter chicken, same as last year and still a hit.

Overall the Taste of Edmonton 2016 is an event worth checking out. Last year we did the Taste of Edmonton 2015 on a Saturday, this year on a Tuesday. They have more tables this year and more room to walk – much improved.

Below is the Three Amigos station – such great Mexican food. My favourite of the event, keeping in mind I only ate gluten free items.
