Travel: Abu Dhabi Snapshot
Abu Dhabi snapshot – what a city! This place is much calmer than Dubai, it’s more walkable, and it has some amazing food. Okay, let’s check out these photos of our tip to Abu Dhabi. From museums to food, and even observation tours and public buildings, we’re in for an awesome experience.
Photo time!
Abu Dhabi Snapshot
Up first, we visited the Louvre. After a wonderful lunch on the beach, overlooking the Persian Gulf, we visited the famously French museum. The first handful of galleries are full of Islamic art, anchoring the pull to Abu Dhabi. They do have, however, many European pieces from Monet to the exhibit feature on Van Gogh.
An afternoon full of art then called for some eats. We got dressed up and headed out for a nice meal.
Up next, a day in Yas Bay. From the mall to the marina, we even walked by the track. Here are some fun photos from the Yas Bay area. Ferrari world? We didn’t partake, since rollercoasters aren’t quite our thing anymore, yet we did walk in and peek as much as was allowable without buying a ticket. It’s wild if you’re a park enthusiast.
The marina was under some massive construction, yet these monuments were located around the boardwalk – 4 of them total. Cool cats, these statues.
Up next, we checked out the observation deck, the heritage village, and the Qasr Al Watan grounds.
Well, there you go – our Abu Dhabi snapshot! Have you been to the capital of the United Arab Emirates? For us, it was our second time to the UAE – although, we had just been do Dubai a week earlier. Something cool happened at the airport, when we arrived from Qatar we got to go through the ‘returning’ line – it was so fast. Basically, we had valid visas, so we were good to go.
All in all, visit the UAE and be sure to check out Abu Dhabi. Worth it!
