Travel: Bluff Point
Bluff Point is a short drive from Kinka Beach in Queensland, Australia. It’s about a 2.5km hike and takes you up the small bluff for a stunning view. Check it out if you’re in the area!
One of the best things about Bluff Point is you get an awesome look at Double Head Point – and vice versa, if you like Double Head. It’s neat to look back and think – we hiked up there, that’s high! Good times. Okay, let’s check out some photos.
Bluff Point
If you’re up for an afternoon stroll, then be sure to check out Bluff Point. The circuit is about 2.5km and offers beautiful views of the Capricorn Coast. We did the hike in a little under an hour, yet took our time at the top soaking up the views.
If you do hike in the afternoon, be sure you’ve got water and sunscreen – the Australian sun is hot, hot, hot!
One thing to note, too, though is the trail entrance has great access to the beach, if you wanted to cool off afterwards. We visited on a Saturday and the entrance to the trail was quite busy – two birthday parties going on. About 6 picnic tables and a few barbecues make for an awesome entertaining spot!
Okay, back to the view. If you’re in the area, don’t miss out on this sweet hike – the views are worth it!
Well, there you have it – some photos of our Bluff Point hike. If the day is a bit cooler, consider packing a lunch and spending some time at the top. Cold drinks, tasty eats, and an awesome view is a fabulous way to spend the afternoon! Just as long as it’s not too not, right!?
Thanks for stopping by and I’ll see you again soon. Safe travels!
