Travel: Cambridge Campus
Cambridge campus! That’s right, we spent some time (you might be able to guess why…Bryce is awesome!) on campus at Cambridge. It was my first time, as I was visiting Bryce, who had been there 3 previous times. I got the royal tour and spent some much-needed time in the library studying, too. Okay, let’s check out some photos.
Cambridge Campus
First up, the trees – they’re old, historic, and full of stories. This one is flat out neat.
The University of Cambridge has more than 30 colleges, and they’re spread out quite a bit. Behind me is King’s College, probably one of the most well-known.
Another that’s quite well known is Fitzwilliam College – and this is where I joined Bryce for a week.
The campus is well maintained, and each one has a library, a lower, middle, and upper class room, which is like a house with study rooms, a game room, and a kitchen. They also each have small cafes, dining halls, gyms, and laundry facilities, as well as dorm rooms. All in all, very well kept, even the gardens are top-notch!
The main library is huge – check it out below. And, in a playful jest, the book return is a red phone booth. So fun.
Well, there you have it, a little bit of a sneak peek into the Cambridge Campus at the University of Cambridge. I spent most of my time at the library on campus at Fitzwilliam College, with the quiet rooms, the stunning view, and the close proximity to everything I needed (cafe, the room, and snacks – mostly snacks), it’s a delightful little community. Enriches learning, that’s for sure.
If you’re in Cambridge, then be sure to check out some of the colleges; that’s where the university really shines! Thanks for stopping by and happy travelling!
See you again soon.
