Cambridge University Botanical Gardens

The Cambridge University Botanical Garden is worth checking out for sure, especially if you’re into plants. We have more than 100 plants in our house – yes, I know! It’s awesome. My favourite plant is this air plant we have, and it keeps having offspring; we’re up to about 35 of them at least. The grandpa, as I call him, is tired and old, yet he’s still kicking.

Okay, if you’re in the Cambridge area, visit the garden. It’s free for Cambridge students, yet it’s worth the price of admission. One must see the grounds, which are the glass houses. Take your time and check them out. Okay, photo time.

First up, us! It was a bright and sunny day, so with some sunscreen and a hat, we enjoyed the day. Walking, talking, and checking out plants. We were impressed with the variety, that’s for sure.

Be sure to give yourself enough time to walk around at your own pace; the grounds are huge, and it’s not much fun to rush through. The far side has a playground for kids, and in the middle, there’s a water feature that’s worth checking out, too.

See the ladybug? There were so many, it was fun to see them scurrying around.

Okay, now for the glass houses. The highlight of the visit.

Cool, eh?! The plant above, we have at home. It’s obviously way, way smaller, yet it’s super neat to see these plants in large glass houses and seeing them grow to their full potential – they’re happy in our home, too, it’s just they’re way smaller. haha!

One last loop around our favourite area and then that’s it.

See you again soon – bye!
