Travel: Cambridge Eats
Cambridge eats – that’s right, all the places we ate at while visiting Cambridge in the UK. From Indian food to Venezuelan food, this city is packed with awesome eats. Okay, first, I’ll share the list of places, since I didn’t get to snag photos of everything (I know, right?!). Oh, and being gluten free was super easy except for one spot where we went for Korean food. They still had options, just not many. Happy eating.
Cambridge Eats
- The Architect – gluten free fish and chips
- Namaste Village – fantastic Indian food
- Sala Thong – delicious Thai cuisine
- Kimchili – Korean food with Seoul!
- Manacambs – Venezuelan food at the Market
- Fitzbillies – fantastic coffee shop with cakes and eats
- Sainsbury’s – grocery store with many GF options
- Fitzwilliam Coffee Shop – on campus find!
- Cambridge Markets – visit for many options
Okay, there’s your list – for us, we loved the Architect, check out this fish and chips – it was so good. Bryce had halloumi and chips, which was also delicious.
You 100% need reservations at this place; we saw about 10-12 people get turned away on the Friday we attended. It’s not that big, yet they do have a few tables outside that aren’t reservable.
Next, if you are in the centre of the city, be sure to check out the market. They have sweets, arepas, and paella – oh, and so much more.
We also stopped for coffee and eats – you’ll find a lot of these around town.
As I noted, I didn’t take photos at the Korean place, or the Indian place we ate at – Namaste Village is completely vegetarian, and it’s so good, like I can’t wait to go back, good.
Below are a few snapshots of our food from the Thai restaurant we ate at – again, reservations are needed. Basically, we didn’t go anywhere except the grocery store or for coffee without reservations!
Well, there you have it – our Cambridge eats.
What’s your favourite food to eat on vacation? For us, we love to try the local cuisine, of course, then usually gravitate to Indian or Thai food, and then either Mexican or Peruvian, with a healthy balance of fruits and veggies from the grocery store.
Oh, speaking of the grocery store, we did stop at a few and picked up some things for breakfast and lunches, and one night we wanted to just stay in, so we had snacks and small eats for dinner. It was awesome.
Happy travelling and we’ll see you again soon!
