Travel: Manama Snapshot
Manama snapshot – a couple of days in the capital of Bahrain. Manama is an experience! From World Heritage Sites to some souq eats, we had a blast.
Manama Snapshot
The sea gives the city a warm breeze and a faint scent of salty water. It’s no where near as busy as Dubai, and the calmness is welcomed. It’s still hot, though! Above you can see us at the fort and there isn’t much hiding from the sun. We visited at high noon and it was about 35 degrees, hence our sun hats!
Okay, here are a few photos!
The mosques around Manama are stunning. All of the mosques we saw on our trip to the Middle East were breathtaking, really.
Here’s us heading to dinner! We walked to the Gulf Hotel to have a magnificent dinner at one of their restaurants. More details on that, soon.
On our second day we checked out the National Museum and they had a section with art – this piece has some of the colours found in the Bahraini culture. I just love the purple-mauve colour around the top.
Well, there you have it, a sneak-peak into our trip in Manama, Bahrain. Did you know that Bahrain was one of the original 9 emirates? I didn’t know either, until we visited the Middle East. It’s interesting to learn new things, eat new food, and see new cultures. If you’re in the area and have time, defiantly check out Manama.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Happy travelling.
