Tutorial: Pee Pee TeePee
Pee Pee TeePee – what?! So…it’s a little tent that goes over the baby boy when you’re changing him, that way he doesn’t pee all over you or the room. Genius, right? Well, yes, but buying them is silly, especially when you can make them out of scraps or fun Batman fabric.
These tee pees are a part of a gift set along with some burp cloths and a Batman blanket made out of the same materials. So fun.
What You Need
- bowl that measures 6-7 inches around
- fabric – front and back (soft) about 1/5 of a yard
- pins
- machine
- matching thread
- iron
First, iron out your fabric. Then, trace your bowl and cut out the circle. Each circle (one front and one soft) will make two tee pees.
Cut your circles in half.
Fold the half circle, right sides together and serge.
Now, turn the soft backing right side out and match right sides together with a front piece.
Stitch, leaving a small opening to turn the teepee right side out. I used my machine over my serger for this because I have more control with the standard machine. You pick what you’re comfortable with.
With right side out, pin the hole closed. Top stitch all around the bottom seam.
Done!
Now, with the Batman blanket and burp cloths, you have the perfect little gift set! Our Paddington Bear gift set is fun, too.
Happy gift giving!
Have a great Thursday.
