52 Weeks of Sewing
52 weeks of sewing. That’s right! You read the sign correctly. This is one of my new year’s goals – to sew a project each week, thus, 52 weeks of sewing.
Don’t get me wrong, I love to sew; but I think having a goal like this will prevent me from binge sewing which leads to burnout. No more sewing straight for 3 weeks and then walking away for 3 weeks. This year I want more balance. The 52 week challenge will be a good way to stay on track. I might visit some sewing tutorials I already have on the blog again, yet with new fabric and new tips and tricks. Tweaking them, if you will.
My hope is to share the sewing project on the weekend, either on a Saturday or Sunday, and I’ll share my first one tomorrow. If you want to see the projects from this series throughout the year, visit the page – 52 weeks of sewing. Of course, all of these sewing project will be saved under for her, for him, or for the home and so on, as usual.
I hope you have set some goals for the new year, too – even if it’s to keep doing what you’re doing. I’m not big into resolutions, but rather reflecting on my life (at any time, really – not just the new year) and reevaluating what works and what doesn’t. Not being afraid to make a change, like giving up sugar, is sometimes a challenge. Balance is key and being happy is first on my list – that’s what drives my goals.
Wishing you a very happy new year and I hope you visit again tomorrow for the first project in the 52 weeks of sewing. It’s going to be an awesome year and I look forward to sharing it with you. Thanks for visiting and I’ll see you again soon.
