Gluten free s’mores – yes, summer is still here are it’s time for this camping classic – s’mores. • As a Celiac it's sometimes hard to find tasty and delicious foods to replace the glutenous ones I love. Graham crackers fall into that category. These, however, are good. Next time I would just roll them a little thinner.

    Recipe: Flat BBQ Chicken

Flat BBQ chicken – it screams summer. Not only is it delicious and full of flavour, but it also cooks faster and more evenly than a whole chicken. A while back I made a flat chicken in the oven and said I wanted to try it on the BBQ – mainly I wanted to try and get close to the best chicken in Mexico. I can proudly say, this chicken is good – so good, and I’ve made it 3 times now, it’s that good.…

    Travel: Elk Island Backcountry

Elk Island backcountry – for our 8th wedding anniversary celebration we headed out to Elk Island to experience some down time. We hiked, had a fire, neglected to set up our tent when it was nice, got caught in the rain and finished the trip off with a paddleboard. The backcountry camp sites are about 4km from the nearest parking lot – Oster Lake. Check out this huge bison in our way – well, we’re actually on his turf. One of the first things we…

Project: How to Take the Frame Off a Boler

How to take the frame off a Boler is one of the main questions we get asked on our Instagram account @tipsy.the.boler. So, we thought we’d put a few of the photos and some videos all in once place to possibly help someone out. We’re about safety first. The process can be rough (sometimes we have to kick the frame out of place and it ‘crashes’ down with a huge bang) yet it’s safe. Below you’ll find step-by-step directions and then we finish off with…

    Travel: Paddleboarding in Kelowna

Paddleboarding in Kelowna – yes! We were visiting family in June and after getting a new roof rack for our truck, we decided we’d travel with our boards. So much fun. We spent a couple of hours on the Okanagan Lake with the sun in one direction and ominous rainclouds in the other. Check out the truck below. On our first try it took us about 20 minutes to get the boards up and tied down. I think once we become more familiar with the…
