Project: Mason Jar Cookies
Mason Jar Cookies! What an awesome gift idea…they are quick, easy, and people love to receive them. Last year I made Country Chewy Cookies and they were a hit…but this year I decided to change up a few of the ingredients.
My mason jars are from No Frills – super cheap (1L size). On sale for 7.97$ for 12. Good price, especially compared to last year when each Ball Mason Jar set me back 3.99$. 0.75$ or 3.99$…I think I’ll take the 75 cents!!
What You Need
- Mason Jar
- Elastic Twine
- Labels
Ingredients
Note: put in the jar in this order
- 1 1/3 cups of flour
- 1 cup of oats
- 1/2 cup of dried cranberries
- then 1/2 cup of white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- and 1/2 cup of white sugar
- 1/3 cup of chopped pecans
First – wash your mason jars and get your labels ready. Want to use my labels, or the directions? Visit the Chewy Country Cookies recipe, the labels are on that post.
Second – start putting in your ingredients. For the flour and the sugar I used a funnel…made it easier. When you get to the brown sugar, you’ll have to pack the ingredients down. Each jar will look different, since the ingredients will settle a different way each time.
What kind of cookies do they make?! Remember our chewy cranberry cookies from the 12 days of cookie celebration! That’s what kind!!!
Lastly, tie up the elastic twine and attach the labels….
Now gift away!
Happy holidaying!!
