Recipe: Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Protein Bars
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough – something we all love…how about turning it into a healthier snack?! Protein Bars! They are quick and easy to make – and easy for small snacks while on the go.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup of butter (you can substitute with almond butter)
- 1 can of Low Fat Eagle Brand Condensed Milk
- 2 cups of protein powder (I used vanilla)
- 1/2 cup raw brown sugar
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- a full tablespoon of vanilla
- 1 cup pure almond butter
- a heaping cup of chocolate chips
Mix all of the ingredients together (except the last two) in a mixer on low until well combined.
When it’s all mixed, line a container with parchment paper (so it’s easier to remove), and pack in the goodness.
To make the topping – add the last two ingredients together in a microwaveable safe container. Melt until well mixed. Spread over the cookie dough mixture. Refrigerate for a couple of hours.
Cut into small snack size pieces once cooled.
Pack up for your lunch, post gym workout or snack on them right now!
