Recipe: Crock Pot Turkey Roast
I know – it’s summer time and more often than not, it’s too hot to turn on the stove. Moreover, it’s rare that we feel like turkey and mashed potatoes, but this past week has been kind of cool with lots of rain, so turkey roast is what we have!!
Ingredients
- turkey roast
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- salt and pepper
The picture below, on the left, is what the roast looks like when you buy it. It’s an all breast roast that’s rolled in on itself and held in place with mesh. Take off mesh and lift up the skin (just like you would on a regular turkey). Now push small bits of butter under the skin and then season with salt and pepper. Easy peasy!
Once your turkey roast is seasoned, roll it back up and put the mesh back on or tie it tight with string. Then place it in the crock pot on high for 4 hours or low for 6.5 hours. That’s it, that’s all!
At this point, I cut potatoes and get the salad stuff ready – this time I made my quick Asian/Mexican salad.
It’s going to look so juicy and delicious!
Slice it up and serve.
Eat with salad and potatoes or anything your heart desires – just fill your belly!!
Enjoy the crock pot turkey roast – it’s turkeylicious!
