Recipe: Halloween Candy Bark
Halloween candy bark time! Yes. It’s that time of year when orange and purple bring fright…spiders creep about…and ghosts yell ‘boo!’ Fear not, this candy won’t frighten you, but delight you. It’s quick, easy, and ever so festive. Try it today – or at least in the next 2 weeks.
Ingredients
- 1 pound of white chocolate melts
- 12-15 oreos
- 1 cup of candy corn
- 1/4 cup of halloween smarties
- 2 tablespoons of halloween sprinkles
First up – gather all of your ingredients. Oh, you’ll need some parchment paper, too. The chocolate won’t stick to it, making it handy for cleanup.
Smash up the Oreos while the chocolate is in the microwave melting. You can melt in on the ‘melt’ setting, or on half power – stirring it every 30 seconds or so.
Lay our 1/2-3/4 of the ingredients on the parchment paper and then cover with the melted chocolate. Then, top with the remaining ingredients. In this recipe, I put all the sprinkles on the top, but it’s up to you. Do what you think will look best.
Pop it in the fridge for an hour or so, and then break it up!
Done. Time to eat a treat, since you can’t eat tricks, right?
Happy almost Halloween – we’ll have to get the loot bags ready soon. Full sized chocolate bars again? Ya, I think so – the kiddos in my neighbourhood are great and they do deserve a bit of an extra treat for trick-or-treating all the way out here in the country.
Thanks for visiting – see you again soon.
