Day Two of the 12 days of Cookies Celebration. Today – Holiday Candy Cookies. These cookies are simply delicious – and you can add any kind of candy you like!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups + 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 3 sticks of butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar and white sugar
  • 1 egg + 1 egg yolk
  • 2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips, holiday baking chips, and holiday sprinkles

First – melt the butter in the microwave on low and then set aside for about 7 minutes. Mix together all the dry ingredients. Cream together the butter and the sugar. Add the eggs and vanilla. Slowly add in the dry ingredients. Then, gently stir in the candy (the chips and sprinkles).

Roll into little balls and flatten a bit. Bake for 12-14 minutes at 325 degrees – don’t over bake!
