Travel: Belfast Snapshot
Belfast snapshot – we ventured north before heading into the capital of Northern Ireland. The Giant’s Causeway is a must see. Be sure to bring your walking shoes and walk all the way up to see the amphitheatre. So many people didn’t make that venture, and I get the mobility issues, yet I think many don’t know there’s more to explore. Okay, I’ll share more about that in a specialized post. For now, onward to Belfast!
Belfast Snapshot
First up, we visited the W5 – it’s like a massive science museum with interactive displays. So much fun, even for adults.
Then, we had some dinner in cathedral quarter and checked out a few nifty streets. This is a happening city with a lot of nightlife, that’s for sure.
We also visited St. George’s Market and the Titanic museum – we did a lot of walking! The Titanic museum is a must, and be sure to book your tickets as they do sell out.
We also took a Black Taxi tour, visited the peace wall, and toured the City Hall museum.
If you’re in Belfast for only a few days, then the two must-do items are the Titanic Museum and the Black Taxi Tour. You can do them both in the same day as long as you book your tickets early and have a plan. The Titanic museum takes about 2.5-3 hours if you take your time. Plus, there’s a 2-story ride! It’s not that fancy, but it’s fun.
Well, there you have it, our 2 days in Belfast!
Belfast is a stunning city with a rich history and is worth checking out if you’re in the area. Keep you walking shoes on after the Giant’s Causeway, since Belfast is very walkable in the City Centre – and it’s a great way to experience the city dynamic.
Thanks for visiting, and we’ll see you again soon.
Happy travelling.
