Travel: Cambridge Snapshot 2026
Cambridge snapshot 2026 – that’s right, we spent a week in the city of Cambridge, one of the most scholarly academic institutions in the world. Someone I know is one smart cookie!
We toured around the campus, the city centre, and even checked out a few museums. Oh, and the botanical gardens are a must-see, especially if it’s a nice and sunny day. We had some delicious food – be sure to check out the markets – and some nice leisurely walks.
Okay, here are a few photos of us from our seven days together. I’ll for sure share more info on all the things to do if you ever visit. For now, just a snapshot!
The flowers are in full bloom in late March and early April. They’re stunning and add so much colour to the city. They’re not specifically (not all of them, anyway) planted in a particular pattern, and we gather many of them grow back each year, given that they may not freeze like our ground. Either way, they look like they’re growing in the wild, making it that much more beautiful.
The BBC was in town over Easter weekend, so we couldn’t visit King’s College Chapel – next time! I will say, it’s impressive even from the outside.
We also spent time at the Fitzwilliam Museum, which is free and has a delightful cafe! Do you recognize the head below? He’s not a Cambridge graduate, though!
Lastly, we enjoyed a few evening walks post dinner and snagged this one at the top of the hill across from a fully gluten free fish and chips place – so good, and I’ll for sure share more details in upcoming posts.
Well, there you have it, a quick Cambridge snapshot 2026 – thanks for visiting and I’ll see you again soon.
Happy travelling. Bye!
