Travel: London Heathrow
London Heathrow – it can feel like an overwhelming place, yet it’s easy to navigate and has some great eats to snag before your flight. We finished up our time in Cambridge and then took the bus (yes, I know!) to LHR and had some delicious eats before jetting off to Dublin. Below I’ll share a few resources and our go-to for dinner. Let’s jump in.
London Heathrow
Okay, first, a few sites to help you navigate!
Now, once you find out where you’re going, be sure you arrive with a bit of time to get settled. We travelled from Cambridge and caught the bus around 2pm, arriving around 5pm once we had dropped our bags and made our way through security. We had dinner at LEON. Do you remember back in 2019 when I shared some of our London Lunch Eats? Well, this place is still around.
At LEON, we each had a bowl, and they were perfect. Freshness, flavour, and fast. We flew Aer Lingus and left out of terminal 2. Here’s a view once you pass security.
We grabbed a table on the second floor, just off to the left, and did some planning before we headed down to eat.
The airport has great WiFi, as most do, and some great shopping, too. The one thing I like about many of these newer airports is that the shopping and eating zone is centrally located. It’s convenient, that’s for sure.
Okay – time to eat!
This drink, the yuzu lemonade, was so good – like I’d get it daily, good.
Okay, time for dinner.
After dinner we hung out for a bit and enjoyed people watching.
Then, we made our way to the gate and boarded.
Well, there you have it, a little peek into our departure from London Heathrow. LHR is a big place, yet nothing to fret, with a bit of planning, you’ll have a smooth journey.
Happy travelling!
