Travel: Nordegg Camping
Nordegg camping – some of the best off the grid camping in Alberta. Awesome hikes, cool breezes, and the mountains. What else could you ask for? Let’s camp!
A few weekends ago we hooked up Tipsy the Boler and headed the 3 hours southwest to camp. Check out our photos.
Okay – want to know what to do in Nordegg? We hike and eat – here are some of our favourites.
Nordegg Camping
We set up camp in the Provincial Park – Fish Lake. No power, just camp fire wood and the wilderness. It’s perfect. Oh, and they have a little general store for treats (not so off the grid) if you’re looking for a snack.
Tipsy is set up and ready to roll – we’ve got our camping chairs, tent, and bins of camping gear (everything from knives and cutting boards to tinfoil and spices) set and ready to go at a moments notice. When we overhauled Tipsy last year we made sure we had solar so we could run the fans all night and keep cool. As an added bonus, they also add some white noise and keep Daphne sleeping soundly through the noises of the wilderness.
Shade, water, and the great outdoors – what else do you need? Snacks!
Okay – let’s hike then snacks!
Time for snacks!
Well, there you have it – a quick Nordegg camping trip. From long hikes, to gluten free Reese’s s’mores, camping is so relaxing. It’s a great way to disconnect, rejuvenate, and stay grounded.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Want to see more of our Boler work? Check out our Boler page – it’s full of before and afters and might just inspire you to hit the road in a little camper.
See you again soon – and happy camping until next time!
