Travel: Omaha Breakfast Eats
Omaha breakfast eats! When we travel, breakfast is one of my favourite meals. From eggs to corn grits, Omaha doesn’t disappoint on the breakfast front. Let’s check out some eats!
Omaha Breakfast Eats
We at at Lula B’s first, since it was right across the street from our Downtown Omaha Hotel. It’s good, decent food. Better than hotel food, yet basic and not gourmet at all. It’s Mexican themed, which is great for being gluten free. Plus, I’m a huge fan of rice for breakfast. It’s like oatmeal, but better.
If you do visit Lula B’s, sit outside if it’s not too hot – it’s a lot of fun to people watch, especially since the conference centre is right down the street. Oh, and check out the wall art – I enjoyed it!
Okay – our breakfasts. Bryce got a chorizo and potato burrito and I got huevos rancheros – the spicy salsa on Bryce’s dish was the best. It had great kick!
Okay, now for my favourite breakfast place in Omaha – Kitchen Table. This place is true farm to table. The corn grits I had were so flavourful. Corn on corn on corn. That good! Plus, the soft poached egg and the grilled serrano pepper just topped it off. Their menu changes quite often, so it’s the perfect place to visit more than once!
The restaurant is small, so show up early if it’s the weekend, or a little late if you’re in the mood for brunch.
Such a friendly atmosphere – a place for the whole family! We sat near the back so we could watch the kitchen.
Well, there you have it – some Omaha breakfast eats. Oh, CTRL is a coffee and cereal bar I saw walking to the post office to renew my passport. It was closed since it was a Monday, yet it’s such a cool idea. Mix and match cereal, too fun! I snooped and peered in the window. Had I been staying a bit longer I would have checked it out for sure.
Thanks for stopping by – and happy breakfast eating!
