Travel: Omaha Zoo
The Omaha Zoo – one of the world’s best zoos. From the aquarium to the giraffe habitat, this place is awesome. A must see if you’re ever in Omaha.
First, my favourite experience of the whole zoo was the giraffe habitat. I did a whole separate post on it, yet here are a couple of photos for you to sneak a peek.
The aquarium is also worth checking out. Not only will you get to escape from the sun, yet you’ll also get to see some amazing marine life. The jellyfish are my go-to. They’re so breathtakingly beautiful.
Omaha Zoo Features
Okay, now back to the other areas of the zoo. The elephants and the rhinoceros are worth checking out. Plan on going early in the morning, though, since most animals aren’t to keen on spending the afternoon in the hot-hot sun.
See, this is what happens in the afternoon – it’s nap time for this gal!
Here are a few others we found in the rainforest section – a lizard and a two-toned anteater looking guy.
Overall, we had a blast! Don’t mind the photo below, not everyone knows how to change the brightness on the focus object – at least we got a photo of us!
Overall, our trip to the Omaha Zoo was awesome. I say visit if you’re in the area, but if you’re even remotely close to Omaha (even like a day away) – make the trip. It’s so much fun.
Oh, the one downside to the zoo is that it doesn’t have very good food. Eat an early breakfast, pack a snack, then head into the Old Market to have a late lunch. No sense paying twice as much at the zoo for half the quality. And don’t forget your water bottle!
Happy travelling and I’ll see you again soon!
