Travel: Temple Bar

Temple Bar is one of Dublin’s top tourist destinations. It’s worth passing through to see the energy, hear the music, and get a sense of the atmosphere. We didn’t stick around long, yet we walked through, people-watched, and had some dinner (hello boxty!) nearby. Okay, let’s check out the photos from Temple Bar.

First up, this area is very walkable, so be sure you bring comfortable shoes – the shoes will also help if you happen to have a few! See what I mean about the streets?! They’re cobble – be safe and try not to trip!

The Temple Bar area is full of a lot of history – it’s quite special, and the Irish take it very seriously. There are smoke shops, pubs, and whisky shops galore. If you’re a fan of live music, this place has that energy, too!

Oh, and we suggest going before dinner, unless you’re really in the mood to live it up. The energy is a little tamer before dinner, and there’s room to move on the streets. After dinner, it was way busier – and we’re happy we had a chance to check things out beforehand. It’s pretty at night, though, with all the lights. Worth checking out either way.

We popped into a whisky shop on our way out of the Temple Bar area – and checked out the prices per glass and bottle. Some of them have a different value for the whole bottle, while others are more valuable by the glass – so odd!
