Travel: 2 Days in Kinka Beach
2 days in Kinka Beach! Where? In the best little beach town in Queensland, Australia. Kinka Beach has just over 600 people and it’s the sweetest little spot to rest, relax, and rejuvenate. We spent two glorious days in Kinka Beach. We hiked, ate ice cream, and saw some caves! Okay, let’s check out some photos, but first, a list of highlights.
2 Days in Kinka Beach
Above, if you’re travelling to Kinka Beach from the north, and drive through Sarina, then stop at the Cafe Roots – you’ll love it – and if you don’t, I’ll buy you a coffee! The next two, bluff point and double head point are hikes. We did both of these on the same hot afternoon. If you do that, be sure you stop for ice cream after! The caves are a must, they’re so cool and Kinka Palms is the place to stay. Okay, now it’s photo time.
Here are some of the hikes.
After those hikes, be sure you get a snack! We travelled into Yeppoon and got some ice cream. They had a lot of gluten free choices, too!
Extra big scoop for me, please!
Let’s not forget the caves – if you haven’t been to a bat cave, you should check it out. I was pleasantly surprised with the experience.
Well, there you have it – 2 days in Kinka Beach. We stayed at the Kinka Palms Motel, they have a nice outdoor space (hello pool!) and the rooms are light, bright, and airy. Perfect for summer in Australia.
Thanks for stopping by – see you again soon! Plus, don’t you just want to fly to Australia right now? We were there this time last year, and let me tell you, it was an awesome time to visit! Happy memories, that’s for sure.
Happy travels.
